If you have not attended BHCC during the last two semesters but have attended BHCC within the last 5 years, go to our Apply Now page and choose: I am a returning BHCC student (enrolled in the past 5 years) option. If you are planning on taking classes at BHCC as a guest student, we recommend registering online to avoid waiting in line, if you are unable to register online you may register at Student Central, room B325 on the Charlestown Campus, or at Student Services Office, room 415 on the Chelsea Campus. Students register online for Community Education courses including Basic English as a Second Language (BLL & BSL courses).
instructions for registering are available on the Community Education webpage.
You can also find sample tests on the College’s CPT preparation page.
The College reserves the right to determine placement into courses, including English as a Second Language and developmental courses, based on the results of placement tests.
Our mandatory Advising & Registration sessions will help you understand the requirements for your chosen program of study and choose courses.
Learn more about Advising & Registration sessions on the New Student Orientation webpage.
Bunker Hill Community College is committed to an open admission policy.
This policy enables anyone with a high school diploma, Hi SET (formerly the GED) or a transfer student from another college who wants to continue their education at BHCC.
When students complete testing, they receive a report that includes the placement results for each section of the test that is completed.
Accepted (degree- and certificate-seeking) students will also be able to access these placement results in the Test Summary section of Student Planning in their My BHCC account (log on information for My BHCC is provided to accepted students on their acceptance letter). English, reading and math scores are valid for placement and application purposes for two years.
